Intervention Research - Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention - Competition Results 2010


The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) is pleased to partner with the CIHR Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes and Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health on the Intervention Research - Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention initiative. 
The goal of this funding opportunity is to:
  • support research on rapidly unfolding "natural experiments" that address chronic disease prevention at the population level;
  • encourage innovative research in collaboration with community, non-profit, private, and/or public partners, where appropriate; and
  • develop bidirectional knowledge exchange opportunities between researchers and community, non-profit, private, and/or public partners.
A total of 15 applications was received of which six were approved for funding.

    Dissemination of the "Choisir de Maigrir?" program in health and social service centers in Québec: evaluation of its implementation and impact on lifestyle habits and well-being.
